ShieldBit pairs ordinary peer-to-peer payments with NIST-standardized post-quantum spending signatures and a predictable monetary policy.
Why ShieldBit
Ordinary payments, explicit ownership rules, and post-quantum spending signatures. Public testnet and independent security review are still ahead.
NIST FIPS 204 spending signatures designed to resist known classical and quantum attacks. Security still depends on implementation, review, and protecting wallet keys.
Standalone double-SHA256 proof of work, capped issuance, and scheduled reward halvings. Bitcoin auxiliary merge mining is not implemented.
Send SBT directly to another wallet through signed on-chain transfers. Ownership, amounts, fees, and mining-reward maturity are checked before funds move.
Validated accumulated-work selection and atomic UTXO rollback keep ordinary payments consistent through chain reorganizations. Equal-work forks retain the active tip.
Encrypted wallet keys, checked recovery against the original address, and owner-only local node submission. Payments are transparent, not anonymous.
Bounded decoding, amount checks, coinbase-height commitments, median-time-past rules, and 64-bit timestamps. Tests and review provide evidence, not immunity from bugs.
Under the Hood
A clean, auditable codebase with zero obfuscation. Every cryptographic decision is documented and justified.

Roadmap
Honest, transparent progress tracking — no vaporware.
Ordinary UTXO transfers, real ML-DSA-65 signing, fork recovery, encrypted wallets, compact filters, and a P2P node. Pre-release software; no mainnet or real-funds use.
270 tests pass locally for the ordinary-payment scope, including repeated three-process private-testnet checks. GitHub Actions runs Python and dependency matrices.
shieldbit.org registered on Cloudflare. Email routing active. CDN configured.
Website live on Cloudflare Pages. Whitepaper version 1.1 with the protocol design, implementation status, and path to launch.
Mine the genesis block (no pre-mine). Deploy 3 seed servers on Hetzner VPS. Hardcode block hash in protocol.
Public testnet with faucet. Community testing, security audit of crypto layer.
Only after independent review, extended public testing, and approval of mainnet parameters and genesis. No launch date or exchange support is promised.
